Gold Red - Sunday March 16

GOLD RED, THAILAND’S NEWEST REGGAE SENSATION, SUNDAY MARCH 16, AT PATTAYA’S LAM MORRISON HOUSE OF ROCK

The Lam Morrison House of Rock in Pattaya kicks off it’s Indie Sundays Series with a performance by Bangkok’s rowdy Reggae/Ska sextet, Gold Red, at 9pm Sunday, 16 March.

Gold Red aws recently recruited by Bangkok’s Count of Jah Beat, Golf T-Bone, to record for Hua Lampong Riddum Records. P Golf endorsed their booking as the lead off band of the Indie Sundays Series.

Fresh from appearing at the fourth annual Pai Reggae Festival, Gold Red will make its Pattaya debut with their two ninety-minute sets at The Lam Morrison House of Rock at 9 and 11pm.

Drawn together by their love of Bob Marley, T Bone and all things Two Tone, Gold Red, six dread-locked twenty-somethings, have been playing reggae and ska covers and originals (in Thai) since their teens.

Gold Red has recently won a Fat Radio New Band Contest and just finished at the top of the Tiger Translate nationwide Battle of the Bands.

Bangkok indie stars Gene Mahasamut and Momokomtion will follow Gold Red on March 23rd’s Indie Sundays with the final night of their Walk On the Wild Side: A Tribute to Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground concert. The full run of their performance starts Thursday 20 March.

Other indie bands currently jostling for Indie Sundays dates are Panda’s Red Twenty and So:On’s Desk Top Error, among others. Stay tuned.

Open every night 9.00pm until late, with Zyndy and the Rocketz and Lam Morrison headlining nightly, The Lam Morrison House of Rock is in South Pattaya just off Walking Street on funky Soi Marine.
